Gatwick Matthew Patil:
Gat is the nephew of Carries long-time boyfriend whose name
is Ed and comes to the Sinclair Island as a guest of Carrie’s. Gat is also 15
years old. He is an Indian American teenager and is the same age as the rest of
the three liars. He arrived to island with Johnny when they were 8 years old
and him and Cadence fallen in love since and have been in a deep relationship
since then. Harris the granddad is not a fan of anyone who he does not admire,
in other words Harris is racist and does not appreciate Gat and he shows that
in the book by treating him differently. Gat is a enthusiastic and ambitious
boy who is also very smart and has great taste in classic literature, he loves
to stand up against any wrong that he sees and is well aware that Harris doesn’t
appreciate him being at there family island but doesn’t want to leave because
of his relationship with the Liars but most importantly Cadence. Gat is not a
boy that doesn’t fit into the society; he is like the new kid at school he
doesn’t know what is going on so just acts like himself. In this story he has
his feet in two different worlds, there is Cadence’s world which is the wealthy
and then there is his own world, where he isn’t rich and is just an Indian
American boy. Gat is also a very smart boy and he is Cadence’s Gat. Gat dies in
the basement of Clairmont because of the fire during summer fifteen.
